Buried Deep in Snow
06:04
|
|||
Come crawl out your window to your love, I swear it’s alright.
And if I must wait, then I’ll wait, wait till the next life.
Come crawl back into bed to your love, and turn out the light.
The cats purring softly in the moonlight.
Sixteen flowers wrapped in your hair, violet and bright.
Rest your head on my chest, baby voice filling the night.
Elephants dance in her dreams, while stars ignite.
She becomes a lotus about to take flight.
And if the sun is still shining, will you show me where to find it?
And if the earth is still spinning, will the moons come colliding?
And if the oceans don’t stop rising, will you show me where to hide it?
And if the birds are still flying, will you show me the night sky?
We’re like the flowers as they’re rising,
I want us hidden deep in the forest.
We’re like the bears when they’re hiding,
I want our love buried deep in snow.

Sunflower Sermon
05:27
|
|||
You said, “The birds just fly away,
Look at their wings fill a sky of gray.”
But I told you why they always sing after the rain.
We can learn something from them.
The elephants they just roam,
You said, “It’s like they’ve got no home.”
But we’re both too young to know,
How fucking awful and beautiful it is to be alone.
And I know why you started writing those songs,
You couldn’t stop the words from pouring out like smoke,
And you heard her soft voice whisper in your blood.
Calypso singers hum inside your bones like Rimbaud’s ghost,
While your heart will surely roam,
Like those wild horses running home.
Like the butterfly falling out of its cocoon,
And like the daffodils dancing upon the hills,
You just want a little more room.
Because sometimes it takes a storm to make you bloom.
You said, “It’s never too soon.”
And just like the sun, your blankets cover the floor of my room.
We’re too goddamn old to not know,
This life will surely stain you blue.
But like a sunflower caught in the light,
I’m bending to you.

L'Amour, The Sea
03:51
|
|||
No, no,
the lion and the lamb
are not for me.
But you,
You’re coming to me.
L’Amour, the sea.
No, no,
these lies and roads
are not for me.
But you,
You’re burning against me.
L’Amour, the sea.
Yes, yes,
We’ve answered back,
the flood and the news.
It’s all, washing over you.
L’Amour, L’éternité, the sea.

Amanita
04:26
|
|||
They say, “Jesus shall rise again.”
The say, “Jesus will be your greatest friend.”
He will rise just like the fungus.
Jesus will fuck up all of us.
Because I’ve been waiting my whole damn life
for something untrue.
And I’ve been trying my whole damn life
To get back to you.
And they say, “Time shall bring change.
It will kill the past in love’s name.”
So why are all these dead leaves falling,
when I’m in the street, your name I’m calling.
I believe there’s only one thing
in life that’s true:
Building true love like tomorrow’s not going to come,
and holding onto You.
me and You.
Just us two.
Like brown and blue.

Chamber Room
07:16
|
|||
Colette, Colette,
How’d your hair get so wet?
You’re a mummy in a wheelchair,
under a gypsy sunset.
Your jeweled eyes and stardust grin,
speaking Parisian hymns.
Dark leaves in the river swim,
against your Egyptian skin.
Pearls on your neck, bracelets on your wrist,
Your portrait comes to me like mist,
Your hair filled with Spanish broom,
As you bring light to my chamber room.
Edna, my sweet,
My beautiful sin,
That rose in your hair,
Stuck by the pin.
Under apple blossoms, mountains wide,
I see your dark eyes hide in luminous skies,
Please speak your mind.
I’ll follow you under midnight pine,
There’s no cursed thorns along the vine,
You, strong like a thistle under the moon,
Bringing light to my chamber room.
Children cry for mothers and for peace,
while Atlas’ tears fill the streets.
But you’ve got angel sighs,
Your white arms and ivory thighs,
Your lavish laurel lover’s hair,
And your Daphne eyes,
You’re like a hummingbird about to fly.
You’re stopping time,
Psychic soul like lime,
Watching flowers in your heart bloom,
We make love in this chamber room.
Pockets full stone, the poet returns home,
A heart filled with bliss,
Longing for the sweet kiss
of your Aeolian lips.
He knows you’re beautiful
like a Grecian urn,
and all new lands with realms of gold
will never burn.
We listened to the nightingale’s song,
under trees near our river-home,
Stars falling from the sky’s cocoon,
Love brought us sleep to our chamber room.

Quasar Love
04:19
|
|||
Hey, morning flower,
I am your sun rise.
Look into dark eyes,
like they’re the night sky.
OM
Do you believe in star life?
Can you feel the moon’s light,
growing inside?
OM, quasar love.
You hung in my mind,
like a honey vine,
We exist in our own time,
Let your garden grow.

Moon Sutra
07:07
|
|||
I met you under mountains.
Your eyes were stars.
You carried the moon.
You were the first flower
of springtime bloom.
I lost my heart inside of You.
You held in your hands
the sacred jewel,
so I followed You.
I closed my eyes till I could see was violet light.
You’re a baby,
You’re the white-foamed sea,
You’re a moonbeam, shining on me.
You’re a postcard,
You’re a soft, sad moon,
You’re a songbird, singing a lonely tune.
Will I ever see you again
at the end of time, where the lights bend?
Will I ever touch you again,
under lamp lights and rain with flowers unnamed?
Will I ever hold you again,
if I lost the key, If I lost the ring?
Will I ever kiss you again,
if I lost your map, if I lost myself?
Will I ever love you again,
if the skies grow dark, if the stars go dim?
